PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Artaxerxes II to Artaxerxes III, circa 375-340 BC. 1/4 Siglos (Silver, 9 mm, 1.26 g), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes or subsidiary mint. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding dagger and bow. Rev. Irregular incuse punch. Carradice Type IV C. GRPC Lydia S29. Sunrise 37. Nicely toned and very well centered, a lovely piece. Somewhat porous and with a minor edge split, otherwise, good very fine.
